MP backs call for early review of parking policy
Liam today welcomed news that bosses at Heartlands hospital have agreed to write to everyone who has contacted the Birmingham News about the new disabled parking charges at Heartlands hospital, with details of discounted tickets on offer.
Since finding out about the new charging scheme, Liam has pressed parking chiefs to review the policy. The Hodge Hill MP was also concerned that constituents who use the hospital were unaware of the new scheme, or the availability of discounted tickets.Liam said:“I’m delighted that Hospital bosses have decided to write to all those people who contacted the News on this issue. The very least they can do is better publicise the discounted tickets on offer”.
“The next step is to get an early review of the policy, and I hope with the backing of the Birmingham News and it’s readers, we can achieve this sooner rather than later”.
