At the end of May Liam completed his preparations for his new post at the Home Office by knocking 10 minutes off his personal best time in the Stratford Half Marathon on, raising over 1000 pounds for victims of the Kashmir earthquake, age concern and Hodge Hill Girls' School.
The race looked touch and go after he found his feet covered in blisters following 12 hours on the doorstep on Thursday. Not only was his office manager, Gill Beddows elected for Labour in the Hodge Hill Ward, but Cllr Mohammed Idrees was returned to power with a huge 2000 majority in Washwood Heath.
